Spider Meatballs

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

A spooky meatball that looks like a spider, the meatball is healthy and nutritious.

Use your hands to mix up the ground beef mixture. It is the easiest way, trust me.

Make a bigger meatball, and a smaller meatball for the body and the head. You need to squish them together a bit so they will cook together and the head won’t fall off.

The first time I tried to make this, I didn’t make my “body” big enough. It needs to be a good size meatball so you can put in the 8 legs.

This are so fun, and always a hit. Yes, they take a little time but they are worth it! Have fun!

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Ground Beef lean
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion medium
  • 1 tsp. Sea Salt
  • 2 C. Fresh Spinach
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 C. Fresh Cilantro
  • Black Pepper
  • Bag of Funyon Chips
  • green olives

Instructions

  • Put Ground beef into bowl, add salt and pepper and eggs
  • Chop Spinach, Onion and Cilantro, add into the bowl.
  • Mix thoroughly. Roll into 2 sized balls. 1 for the body of the spider, and 1 for head of the spider. Squish the head meatball into the body a little and place on a cookie sheet covered in tin foil.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 min.

To make spider

  • Carefully make a slit with a knife where the legs go. Snap a funyon into 2 pieces and stick them into the slits in the body of the spider. Add 4 legs on each side.
  • Slice a green olive, Dip a slice into ketchup and stick onto the meatball for eyes.
