Crock-pot Gluten-free Chex Mix

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

A delicious, Gluten-free, Sugar-free Snack!

As you might know by now, I love salty snacks! This is so yummy and a must for those long road trips.

One of the things I do to make it even more healthy is, I make my own Seasoned Salt. Seasonings can be an over processed chemical trap! I mean, its easy to mix up and then you don’t have the added sugars and MSG that some seasoned salts have. Did you know that the 2nd ingredient in the Lawry’s Season Salt is Sugar! Ain’t nobody needs that in their seasonings! There are a lot of bad chemicals you can’t pronounce that are in some Seasonings, too. Here’s a good rule of thumb, if you can’t pronounce it, chances are its not very good for you…. stay away!

Here is my recipe for Seasoned Salt!

  • Pour over ingredients in the crock-pot and stir gently until evenly coated.
  • Cook in the crock-pot on low about 3 hours. Stir mixture every 45 minutes or so to prevent the bottom from burning.
  • After 3 hours, spread mixture onto a baking sheet and allow to cool. Mixture will be moist until cool, then it will become crunchy. Store in air tight container or zip lock bag.
