A crunchy toasty sugar-free snack.
While roasting for the 40 minutes, I always pull out of the oven 2 or 3 times and stir them. It roasts them more evenly and helps to coat them even more with the delicious seasoning.
So my absolute go to comfort snack food is CHIPS! Ahhh, I love all salty snacks really but I love chips. Chips have no nutritional value at all and they are expensive. I needed an alternative. These are pretty good. My husband likes them a little softer but I like to cook them until they are hard and crunchy like a chip! Just pull one out of the oven occasionally and taste it…that will let you know to take them out or keep them roasting for longer.
You can use any seasoning you like. My homemade Season All is always good. I have a few blends I have bought too. Really just sea salt is good.
Here is one of my favorite seasonings. My “Doritos” seasoning blend. Its kind of like a taco seasoning….and we are back to the chips…HAHA!
