First thing you need to do is measure out the cereal and have that all ready to go! I use my big popcorn bowl.

Be careful because the marshmallow burns easily. Keep temperature on low and stir constantly.

You can use mini M&M’s or regular or even with nuts! I love to make these for a holiday treat at Christmas time and buy the green and red bag of holiday M&M’s.

Retro Marshmallow treats
Full cookie sheet of delicious stay-soft treats with added M&M's
Ingredients
- 1 16 oz Marshmallows
- 1/4 C. Butter
- 12 C. Rice Krispy Cereal
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 10.7 oz Pkg Mini M&M's
Instructions
- Melt butter into a pot on the stove top on low heat.
- Put marshmallows half a bag at a time into butter and slowly melt while continually stirring. Be careful it will burn easily, keep on low heat.
- When marshmallows are all melted take off the heat and stir in the vanilla.
- Working quickly, pour over the cereal and stir, add M&M's and carefully fold in.
- Butter a cookie sheet and pour out the cereal treats. press down with the back of a spoon. Enjoy!
